Local, Green, and Fair Snapshot: Meet Lochtree

SBN’s Snapshot campaign features members of SBN that are local, green, and fair within the greater Boston community. The Snapshot campaign seeks to illustrate the transition from the start of the business or organization - all the way to where it is now, as well as what lessons can be learned along the way. We want to highlight the unique core values of each business or organization and showcase why they are important members of SBN.
Lochtree is an online marketplace made for sustainable goods for anything from your home to your pet. The website is customer-focused and aims to make sustainable living not only attainable, but easy.

Lochtree puts an emphasis on sustainable values and ensures that those values are upheld from the time the product is ordered to the time it is delivered. Their sustainable values include low-waste packaging, giving back to the world by reducing consumerist environmental impacts, and offering products that are eco-friendly.
Lochtree aims to make sustainable products accessible to everyone. Henry Palmer, the CEO of Lochtree, believes that the millennial generation is the first generation to be personally impacted by the effects of climate change. Thus, they have the responsibility to change the world for the better. He has aimed to prove that sustainable products can outperform their conventional counterparts while also striving for a lighter environmental impact.
Although Lochtree was incorporated in January 2020, the e-commerce website is fully functional. Henry intended to attend many events that would grow awareness for the brand, but unfortunately had been cancelled due to COVID-19. Although the pandemic has been a speedbump, the e-commerce website is here to stay to attest to its core value of making a long-term environmental improvement.
Lochtree is a forward-thinking company that strives to make sustainable shopping possible for all. We admire the core values and can’t wait to see the journey that this new startup takes.
